Supply Department

From the words, "take in all lines," the ship is dependent on the efficiency of the storekeepers who keep track of the 20,000 items that are necessary for the daily routine of the ship.

The Commissary men provide the get up and go that all sailors must have by serving three hot meals a day, not to mention mid-rats.

The Ships Servicemen maintain the snacks necessary to maintain the gap between the three meals. Including our store, candy, soft drink machines, the barber shop and the laundry -  their job is no small one.

The Stewards efficiently maintain the wardroom, serve meals, prepare snacks, and care for staterooms.

The principal of Supply is simple. Their job is to have the right material or services in the right place at the right time.
